1. Overview

Taskott ("we", "our", "the App") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

2. Data We Collect

Data you provide

  • Account information — Email address and display name when you create an account
  • Task data — Tasks, goals, groups, sprint records, and notes you create in the App
  • Settings — Your preferences and configuration choices

Data from integrations

  • Google Calendar — Event titles, times, and durations from calendars you choose to sync. We request read-only access.
  • Notion — Page titles and links for tasks you connect to Notion pages
  • Gmail — Shipping notification emails for the Deliveries feature (parsed locally, not stored on servers)

Automatically collected

  • Usage analytics — Anonymous feature usage data to improve the App (can be disabled in Settings)
  • Crash reports — Error logs to help us fix bugs (no personal data included)

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Providing the service — Storing your tasks, syncing across devices, powering integrations
  • Improving the App — Understanding which features are used to guide development
  • Support — Responding to issues you report

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your task data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to provide the service (e.g., Firebase for cloud sync).

4. Data Storage

Task data is stored locally on your device. If you create an account, data is also synced to Google Firebase/Firestore for cross-device access. Firebase data is stored in secure, encrypted servers.

Without an account, all data stays on your device and is never transmitted to any server.

5. Third-Party Services

Taskott uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Authentication — For account management
  • Cloud Firestore — For data sync across devices
  • Google Calendar API — For calendar integration (read-only)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data — All your data is visible within the App
  • Export your data — Available through the App's settings
  • Delete your data — Delete your account and all associated cloud data from Settings
  • Opt out of analytics — Disable usage analytics in Settings
  • Disconnect integrations — Remove third-party access at any time from Settings

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all cloud-synced data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Local data on your device is not affected by account deletion.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), Firebase security rules, and secure authentication. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Taskott is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
