Taskott Documentation

Learn how to set up Taskott and use it to build a consistent, sprint-based productivity practice.

What is Taskott?

Taskott is a desktop application for sprint-based deep work. Instead of maintaining an infinite task list, you select a set of tasks each week, commit to a sprint, and execute with focus tools designed to help you finish what you start.

It combines task management with time tracking, gamification, and velocity metrics to give you a real feedback loop on your productivity.

Taskott is currently available by request. Visit the GitHub repository to request access. Runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux, with companion mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Key concepts

Getting started

  1. Request access

Taskott is distributed through a private GitHub repository. Request access on GitHub to get the latest build for your platform.

  2. Connect Google Calendar

Google Calendar is the essential integration. It powers time attribution, calendar review, and the dailies flow. Set it up here.

  3. Create your first goals

Goals are color-coded categories that organize your tasks. Create 2-4 goals to start — think of them as the areas of your life you want to invest in. Learn more about goals.

  4. Add tasks and start your sprint

Add tasks with effort estimates and value scores, then start your first weekly sprint. Follow the quick start guide.
